Harris Primary Academy at Peckham Park
On Wednesday the 4th December Nadine Samuel (Resident Liaison Officer) and Bryan Cunningham (Business Development Manager – pictured above) delivered a Health and Safety talk to 450 children aged between 4 and 11 at Peckham’s Harris Primary Academy School, on the dangers associated with Building Sites.
A DVD and PowerPoint presentation was given, then afterwards the children were asked to design posters on what they had learnt from the exercise. Ines Hagley (Senior Liaison Officer- pictured above) and Bryan returned to the school on Monday the 16th December and adjudicated on the competition.
The children exceeded our expectations with the quality of their entries and picking winners in both categories was difficult. We awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes to aged 4 to 7 and also prizes to age group 8 to 11. We also nominated spot prizes to children who contributed greatly to the event by asking the relevant questions about Health and Safety.
We would like to say a big thank you to Shereen Lynch who was our contact at the School and without her help we would never have been able to deliver the talk.
